Ken was an avid hunter, fisherman, conservationist, and active Field Trailer from the 1940's thru 1969.

He owned 1958 NFC-AFC Nilo Possibility and FC-AFC Stilrovin Luke Adew.

Ken judged the 2nd National Amateur in 1958 and the 1960 Open National. He was Secretary-Treasurer of the Amateur National Retriever Club for five years, lifetime member of the GRCA, president of WAFTC, and a director of the Labrador Retriever Club.
